July 3-4: Fantastic Fourth Celebration on the River

Experience one of the largest fireworks displays in the Southeast on along Historic River Street in Savannah, Georgia's First City. Fireworks begin at approximately 9:30 p.m. on the Savannah River near River Street. Contact: 912.234.0295 or www.savriverstreet.com

4th of July at Fort Stewart

To be held at Fort Stewart's Cottrell Field. Activities will include kiddie rides and concessions. Opening remarks scheduled for at 5 p.m. Local musical entertainment will begin at 7:30 p.m., followed by Al Jardines Beach Boys Family and Friends Band at 8 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.

Fort McAllister Independence Day

Celebration scheduled from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. and will include Union and Confederate soldier re-enactors conducting musket and cannon firing and living history demonstrations.

Fort Morris Colonial Fair

Fort Morris State Historic Site will host this Independence Day event 11 a.m.-3 p.m. at the Fort, 2559 Fort Morris Road in Midway. Featuring games of skill, live colonial band, colonial dancing, musket and cannon firing, and a chance to meet the Georgia signers of the Declaration of Independence.
